WORDS ECLECTIC
(WE) PUBLISHING

Words Eclectic (WE) Publishing is a cultural publishing and creative production company rooted in unapologetic truth-telling, literacy, and a deep respect for Black ancestral memory and movement, storytelling, and cultural meaning-making.

Founded by poet and cultural producer Dr. Diedra Price, WE Publishing develops and publishes arts-centered, ELA-based literacy frameworks that position learners as authors and cultural producers through poetry, publishing, and real-world authorship.

At the core of our work is Sugar Uncoated™ Publishing-Based Literacy—a developing framework that connects classroom learning to lived experience, authorship, and cultural expression.

We believe:
-
literacy is freedom
-
culture is knowledge
-
publishing is power

Through books, practitioner guides, youth publishing platforms, and cultural engagement, WE Publishing amplifies voice, affirms identity, and supports educational equity without erasure.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Dr. Diedra Price is a poet, cultural producer, and educational thinker whose work bridges publishing, education, and learner and community voice.
Drawing from reality pedagogy, arts-based inquiry, and her doctoral research in educational psychology and technology, Dr. Price develops frameworks that honor culture, center lived experience, and connect literacy to the real world.
Her work positions authorship as a site of confidence, agency, and collective meaning-making and serves educators, districts, universities, and cultural institutions seeking rigorous, culturally grounded approaches to literacy.
